| Day 1 Arrival Pick up at train station/airport/hotel in Florence and transfer to your comfortable resort in Montecatini Terme, a lovely town located between Florence and Lucca, which is internationally well known for its thermal baths. Enjoy a nice walk to the ancient building built in the late 18th century by the Grand Duke of Tuscany or stroll in the lively streets of the town center. You can also explore the old town that you reach with a scenic cable car, from where you have a breathtaking view of the plain below Day 2 Pisa - Cooking class Have lunch with wine in a typical country farm, where you learn to make "Italian pasta" in a friendly cooking class. Continue to Pisa where you will see the extraordinary Leaning Tower and the Square of Miracle, in the afternoon Day 3 Florence Departure for Florence and guided tour of the capital of Tuscany. Visit the worldwide famous Academy of Fine Arts (Michelangelo's David), Ponte Vecchio, Duomo and all the many attractions of the town. Time at leisure for shopping, leather market or a stroll on the cobbled streets of the old town. Return to Montecatini Terme in the late afternoon Day 4 Lucca - Typical winery Excursion to Lucca where your private guide will show you around the cobbled streets of the old town. You are going to see the best preserved city wall in Europe and other attractions like the Cathedral, the square of the amphitheater, St Michael church, the Giacomo Puccini statue and much more. Have lunch in a country farm in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, where you will taste local wine, extra virgin olive oil and delicious food Day 5 Cinque Terre Today you will be visiting the extraordinary Cinque Terre. You depart by train after breakfast and visit some of the most beautiful places on the west coast of Italy. Your private guide will show you the best of Cinque Terre, that were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Enjoy a stunning view above the Mediterranean sea and return to Montecatini Terme in the late afternoon. This is a day to remember! Day 6 Chianti region Departure for the Chianti region and visit a typical Tuscan winery. See the ancient wine cellar and have lunch in the middle of vineyards and olive oil trees. Continue to the tiny village of Greve in Chianti and see the famous square with the one hundred years old butcher shop. Arrival at your hotel in San Gimignano, which is located within the city wall in the town center Day 7 San Gimignano - Wine Tasting Time at leisure in San Gimignano, where 13th century walls enclose the historic center and at the highest point you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Have lunch with wine in a typical country farm, where you will taste local products and delicious wine Day 8 Siena - Monteriggioni Full day visit of Siena, famous for the “Palio” race, a frenzy horse race, which is held in the main square. Guided tour of the town with the spectacular Duomo, the narrow streets and the beautiful churches. Have lunch in a typical Medieval restaurant in Siena. Continue to Monteriggioni, a tiny village famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 30 feet high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Day 9 Departure Transfer to Florence airport/train station/hotel You can add extra nights in Florence before or after the tour and extend your stay in Italy.
