Day 1 Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento Pick up in Naples and departure for Pompeii. Guided tour of the Roman excavations and continue to your hotel in Sorrento, where you will be staying for three nights. Day 2 Amalfi Coast (Positano- Ravello) Full day excursion to the amazing Amalfi Coast. Drive on a spectacular road through tiny villages and stop in Amalfi, Positano and Ravello for a nice walk. You can visit Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, two stunning places in Ravello, which are set in a scenic location overlooking the sea. Day 3 Capri Departure to Capri and visit the island, which is an enchanting and picturesque island made of limestone rock. See the famous "Piazzetta", (tiny square), where celebrities from all over the world hang out, visit the Gardens of Augustus and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique island Day 4 Flight to Taormina Transfer to Naples airport and departure for Catania. Meet with your private driver for transfer to Taormina, which has been one of Sicily's top travel destinations since it became part of the European Grand Tour in the 19th century and Sicily's first resort. Check in at your hotel and afternoon at leisure for visiting the Greek theater and a stroll on the main street lined with shops and bars. Day 5 Taormina - Castelmola Excursion with private driver to the hilltop village of Castelmola, from where you have a gorgeous view of the town of Taormina and the sea. Walk around the narrow streets of the old village, before returning to Taormina and have the afternoon on your own. Day 6 Savoca - Forza d'Agrò & Godfather movie spots Today we will explore the beautiful villages of Savoca and Forza D'Agrò, where Francis Ford Coppola shoot the movies The Godfather, The Godfather II and The Godfather III. Stop for a Sicilian lemon "Granita" at the famous bar "VITELLI" on the corner of the town, one of Coppola's favorite spots, and seen many times throughout the film. See the remain of a Norman castle, before heading back to Taormina. Day 7 Day at leisure in Taormina * Mount Etna excursion (optional) Full day excursion with private driver to Mount Etna, which is the latest addition to Italy's World Heritage Sites. Depart from Taormina in the morning through a continuously changing landscape of trees, lava flows and endemic plants. We will pass through charming little villages like Zafferana until we reach 6.000 ft and see the effects of recent eruptions. You may have lunch at a restaurant then take a cable car that arrives nearly to the top of the volcano and enjoy superb views of Catania and the Mediterranean sea. Return to Taormina in the afternoon Please, contact us for pricing and availability of this excursion, thank you Day 8 Cefalù - Palermo Departure for Cefalù, one of Sicliy's finest beaches side-by-side with one of its greatest Arab-Norman architectural masterpieces. The squares, streets and churches of this medieval town are so postcard-pretty that it's no wonder director Giuseppe Tornatore chose to set parts of his much-loved film "Cinema Paradiso" here. Day 9 Palermo - Monreale Guided tour of the historic center of Palermo with the Cathedral, Teatro Massimo and the main attractions like the Palace of the Normans, which dates back to 9th century; today it is the seat of Sicilian Parliament. The palace also holds the Palatine Chapel, a gorgeous, gleaming example of some of the world's most beautiful Byzantine mosaics. In the afternoon departure for Monreale and visit the famous Cathedral, a monumental complex, consisting of the Basilica, the monastery and the Royal Palace, which was built in the XII th century. Return to Palermo in the evening Day 10 Segesta - Erice Departure for Segesta and visit the extraordinary excavations and the Greek temples. Continue to the town of Erice, a wonderfully preserved Medieval town, which is located at 2000 ft above a steep hill, offering superb views of the town of Trapani below. Return to Palermo in the afternoon Day 11 Departure Transfer to Palermo airport and fly to Rome You can add extra nights in Naples or Rome, before or after the tour and extend your stay in Italy.
