  • Greccio is a tiny village 60 miles north-east of Rome and Piediluco Lake and the village of Castel di Lago are both at about 70 miles north-east of Rome


Itinerary
Your private driver guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Greccio, where you will visit the original wooden rooms used by St Francis and his followers 800 years ago. Have lunch in a panoramic restaurant overlooking the "Holy Valley", where St Francis used to wander and pray. Continue to Piediluco Lake and stroll on its quaint shores. Next stop would be Castel di Lago, a fascinating hilltop village in the middle of River Nera Valley. You will then drive along a scenic road dotted with medieval fortresses and old villages, before going back to your hotel in Rome
